Claim Details
Accidental Damage from Handling and Mechanical and Electrical Breakdowns:
Unlimited claims with a cap of $2,500 per approved claim
Loss and Theft
2 approved claims with a cap of $2,500 per approved claim in any rolling 12-month period
Claims can be filed immediately after enrollment and must be reported within 60 days of the incident. Customers have 30 days from opening a claim to provide all necessary documentation, otherwise the claim will be closed. A non-refundable deductible is required for all claims.
Fulfillment
We will fulfill the claim based on device and geographic location in one of the following ways:
Mail-In Repair: We will provide a prepaid mailing label, allowing customers to self-package and send their device for repair. Once the repair is completed, the device is shipped back directly to the customer.
Walk-In Repair: We will offer repairs at select walk-in locations where available.
Replacement: Once the device is received, we will replace it with a like-kind device (color may vary).
Reimbursement: We will issue the customer an Electronic Disbursement via email.
Fulfillment timeline may vary depending on the extent of the damage.

First month’s payment may be prorated based on the date of enrollment and charged at time of enrollment.
If the initial payment is prorated, then customers can expect to pay their first full premium at the beginning of the following month
The monthly premium is charged to the credit card provided during enrollment.
Customers can update their payment method anytime via their online account.

Total Device Protection

Total Device Protection is coverage by Farmers Ins. for a household's mobile phones and certain consumer electronics (Covered Products). Covered Products (referenced below) will be repaired, replaced or reimbursed at market value if they have a Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown due to manufacturing defects. Portable Covered Products (which are a subset of Covered Products and are referenced on page 2), as well as mobile phones, are also repaired, replaced or reimbursed at market value* for Accidental Damage from Handling, as defined below, and are also reimbursed or replaced due to Loss and Theft.
Farmers has contracted Likewize as the Administrator of this program.
*Market value is defined as the amount one would receive if selling one’s covered device on the open market just before it was lost, stolen, or damaged. This value is determined based on the device's age, condition, and current market demand.
